SOFTWARE ENGINEER II

Intuit Inc. | San Diego | November 2020 - Present

Leveraging my previous experience supporting Intuit's Secure Communications infrastructure, I have joined the MSAAS Platform team to continue supporting internal customers by ensuring their development to deployment process (CICD pipeline) is seamless through tools such as ArgoCD, Jenkins, Kubernetes, GitHub, Docker and more internal tools.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER III

Intuit Inc. | San Diego | August 2019 - November 2020

Supporting Intuit's Secure Communications infrastructure through directly interacting with customers to help solve their problems with robust solutions. This platform processes over 10 billion transactions daily and hundreds of thousands of requests per second, while maintaining strict SLAs of single-digit milliseconds. Some of the areas I worked with the most include rate-limiting, authorization, authentication, CORS, traffic dialing, whitelisting, DNS creation/management, and many other features.

While helping Intuit's customers, I also spent a great amount of my time developing automation in Python to accomplish support-related tasks significantly increasing our team's efficiency, and streamlining Intuit's CICD pipeline using AWS, Rundeck and Jenkins.

APPLICATION ENGINEER

Solarflare Communications | San Diego | May 2017 - August 2019

Designed and developed a Python middleware that connected to GraphQL and CouchDB APIs via HTTPS and WSS, and ICP connection to an Ethernet card controller written in C using the Twisted framework. Managed a web user interface team in Poland to make sure functional and user requirements were achieved.

PYTHON DEVELOPER

Team Treehouse | Online | July 2016 - May 2017

Designed and programmed RESTful API web services for a to-do list using Flask and an online dog adoption center using Django; both back-ends were hooked up to a front-end built in Angular. Built a social network similar to Twitter using Flask focusing on user registration and authentication, password hashing, form validation and joining database tables. Improved a mineral catalog project written in Django by debugging errors in models, templates, views and urls; also implemented custom search and filtering capabilities.

Taught and demonstrated Python programming concepts and skills through tutoring students for their college courses or side projects. Implemented custom website solutions using Django for various clients in the insurance and oil industries; focused on user accounts, authentication, automation, search capabilities and interactivity. Created and back tested trading algorithms written in Python using Quantopian’s API.
